For Professionals

We work in the community with a number of organisations to ensure that we adopt a multi-agency approach when supporting women who are at risk of violence and abuse.

Making Referrals

We receive a lot of enquiries from external agencies and charities who would like to refer women to our services. We ask that if you are working with a client who you believe could benefit from our services, please complete our external referral form.

Completing this referral form with the consent of your client, ensures we have the most accurate and up-to-date information possible and can act quickly and appropriately to their needs.

Please note that we are not an emergency accommodation provider and do not have refuge services. We also at this stage do not provide our own counselling service. Instead, we work in partnership with providers who can offer counselling and we can make referrals to these. We are not responsible for the eligibility requirements or possible waiting list times that these may have.

Our hours of operation are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. If you make a referral or submit a contact form to us, we will respond to you within 2 business days.

Partnerships

We have built strong partnerships with the local authority, charities, health and education providers and women’s sector organisations. We are always open to working with other organisations to provide the best support possible for women in the community.

In March 2020, we were proud to work in collaboration with many local charities, women’s services and libraries to coordinate a 2 week long programme of workshops in aid of International Women’s Day, culminating in one highly attended large event held at the Beck Theatre. This was a great opportunity to network, recognise the achievements of women, and also reflect on the issues and barriers that we still need to overcome.

Resources for Professionals

We are in the process of creating a space for resources for professionals to use in the area who are working with survivors of gender based violence. Please check back on this page as this is currently being updated.
